The Presentation Challenge

Changing lives and earning free stuff can start with one group you already know.
Let's get you and Kevin talking.

Either one takes about a minute, and you can do it in your pajamas.

Here's the Deal

Somewhere out there is a group of people who get together to talk about stuff; maybe it’s the team’s numbers, the parking situation in the community, or who is bringing the cheese to taco Tuesday this week.

We’d love to pull up a chair!

For the next eight weeks, Kevin Knight is taking our favorite presentation on the road, or to the screen. He’ll spend 45 minutes with any group that will have him, talking about how powerful the unconscious mind really is and what it looks like to build your emotional intelligence. Whether you’ve done thousands of hours of workshops or this would be your first introduction to how emotions shape our decisions, those 45 minutes are eye opening, fun, and worth showing up for.

These small, personal presentations, where people get to raise their hand and learn something about themselves, are how Productive Learning has grown for 35 years. Someone who did the work told someone they loved. This fall we’re asking you to do that on purpose, and we’re thanking you for every single one.

Everyone Wins

We mean that literally. There is no way to walk away from this with nothing.

  • Point Kevin toward a group and you’ll receive $75 in Customer Appreciation Dollars.
  • If that group books him, you’ll receive another $75, which puts you at $150 for one email you wrote in your pajamas.
  • Host a presentation yourself and you’ll receive $150 in Customer Appreciation Dollars. It can be at your house, at your office, with your Tuesday night crew, or on Zoom. You’ll also get to watch the ah-has and insights land with the people in your life, which is a major heart-filling win in and of itself.

Customer Appreciation Dollars can be used towards domestic workshop tuition, up to 20% off.

There’s no limit on how many Appreciation Dollars you can earn, so introduce as many groups as you can think of.

And then there's the podium.

Every dollar you earn is yours, with no ceiling. Once you pass $375 in Customer Appreciation Dollars, you also qualify for the podium. On November 25, the three people with the most dollars get to pick a prize on top of everything they’ve already earned. Yes, both. We twisted Lindon’s arm.

Who Counts as a Group?

Four or more people, all over four feet tall 😁, in a virtual or in person room. That’s the entire rulebook. Your people don’t even have to leave their work chair if online is their preference. Here are some ideas to get you thinking.

The ones with an agenda

  • Your real estate office, law firm, CPA, or medical practice
  • The HOA board
  • Trade associations, skilled labor groups, the union hall
  • Chamber of commerce, gaming group, your networking breakfast
  • Any team whose boss is open to developing their people

The ones with snacks

  • Sunday dinner, the birthday party, the family barbecue
  • Book club, quilters guild, the knitting circle
  • Church small group, men’s group, women’s group
  • Poker night, bingo night, bunco
  • Your kid’s team parents, your gym people, your hiking crew
  • The retirement community activity hour

If your group meets on a boat, Kevin has questions, but he’ll still come.

Not sure your group qualifies? Grab a quick call with Kevin and he’ll help you figure it out.

So what would Kevin even talk about?

Great question. Through an intriguing, interactive conversation, Kevin shares how our brains have learned habits that make us blind (truly!) to incredible opportunities right in front of us. As you and your group realize how simple life can be once those self-prescribed mental filters lift, the laughs start coming and people begin sharing their own stories. Those stories are what make the conversation so impactful, whether it’s a Zoom lunch-and-learn for your department at work or your Thursday poker group.

Everyone walks away with something worth chewing on, and the lifelong learner types tend to walk away wanting more. For them, the next step is a conversation with Kevin about Beyond Reasons, the workshop where all of this starts.

How This Works

Step 1

Think of a group. You probably already have one in mind.

Step 2

Tell Kevin. Grab one of the two ready-made emails below, copy it, paste it into your email, and send. One is a quick note to Kevin. The other introduces Kevin to your person directly, from you, so it comes from someone they trust. Or skip the typing and either use his scheduling link or call/text at 949-350-0840.

Step 3

Kevin takes it from there. If you emailed him, he’ll call you to figure out the best way in. If you introduced him to your person, he’ll follow up with them and keep you posted.

Step 4

Kevin handles the rest, including the scheduling. You handle feeling good about yourself.

Questions People Ask

Either you email Kevin about a group and the two of you talk it through, or you send your person an email introducing Kevin. Both templates are right below.

No. You can just tell Kevin who you’re thinking of and he’ll work out the best next step with you. If you’d rather make the introduction yourself, you send it from your own inbox and your friend sees exactly what you wrote. Nothing gets handed over behind anyone’s back.

No. Your introduction needs to come in by November 25. Kevin will book presentations as far out as the group needs, within reason.

A group, a date, and a time on Kevin’s calendar.

Please do. There’s no limit on what you can earn. Every introduction earns Appreciation Dollars, every booking earns more, and once you pass $375 the podium is waiting.

Yes, and it’s the best deal on the board. Four or more people at your place, your office, or on your Zoom earns you $150 in Appreciation Dollars. Chips and dip are optional but encouraged.

Not for this challenge, since this one is about groups. Send them Kevin’s way anyway. He’ll want to talk to them, and he’ll probably ask if they have a group.

You still earn your $75. You did your part and we appreciate you greatly!

On your Productive Learning account. Email Kevin anytime to check your balance.

None at all. Keep introducing groups and the dollars keep adding up. The only cap is the 20% you can apply to any one domestic workshop.

Once you earn $375 in Customer Appreciation Dollars, you qualify. You keep earning past that, and on November 25 the three people with the most dollars each pick a prize.

Absolutely. Four or more people in a virtual room counts just the same, whether it’s a team meeting for your department or your cousin’s hiking group checking in from their living rooms.

Tell Kevin Who You're Thinking Of

Pick whichever email fits, hit copy, paste it into your email, fill in the blanks, and send. That’s the whole job.
